Q. Modchip-wizard Australia - Please Help Im From Brisbane and My NTSC ( J ) Playstation® 3 ( PS3® ) I bought in Japan while on Working Holiday has suddenly stopped working properly - After simple Power on the PS3® Console It Gets to the SONY® PS3® Wavey Line Load Screen but the Freezes and Displays a Screen with The Playstation 1 Logo SONY® "P" but all the graphics on screen is broken up and has screen artifacts and then stops and can no longer read any Bluray Movies or Games . I Took it to brisbanemodchips but they could not fix it as they said it was a main board problem. Please Help.
PS3 Repairs Done On The Spot - Takes 2 HOURS
A. Modchip-wizards - We suggest not to Power on the NTSC J PS3® Console until you have mastered this Problem with The Console.
1. Sometimes the Large PS3® Case Fan which sits on the Underside of the Main Board may not be working Properly - it is designed to cool the Consoles Graphics Processor and Central Processor and draw hot air out of the PS3® Console Through Vents. The Fan must be checked for Possible Fault.
2. Also The Playstation® 3 Power Supply Unit if Not providing Constant Regular Power to the PS3® Console may also be a cause of problems to the console.
3. Reseating the PS3® GPU and CPU and applying a High Quality Thermal Paste may also be tried in some cases of overheating.
4. Reformat the PS3® Hard Drive and set all Settings to Factory Default / Even Replace with New Hard drive is worth a try.
5. If there is a main Fault with The Main Board we can replace it for you But we would have to exchange the Laser drive Board as well because they are signature coupled to work Together. This means a Laser from one PS3® cannot work in another PS3®.
6. This repair procedure is not for DIY Repairers. Please Send in Console for professional assistance and repairs.
