Wii Mods 4.3E Unauthorized Modifications

Because unauthorized channels or firmware may impair game play or the Wii console, updating to Wii Menu version 4.3 will check for and automatically remove such unauthorized files. In addition, there are some behind the scenes enhancements that do not affect any prominently-used features or menus but will improve system performance.

Nintendo Wii Models 2010

Updates to the Nintendo Wii System can be done in 3 Main Ways:

1. By Connecting The Wii Online and accepting the Latest Nintendo Wii Update From The Official Nintendo Site.

2. By inserting a Wii Game that has an Update on the Disc. The request to update the Wii will appear before you can start the Inserted Wii Game.

3. Those with a Wii mod chip or Wii Softmod - Can burn an update to a CD and insert the Update disc to update the Wii to any Firmware Version.

The Nintendo Wii System or Update Version

After POWER ON the Wii Console and On the Wii Opening Menu Click the Wii Icon in the Bottom Left Corner

Then Click on the Right Hand Folder Icon - Settings - The Wii System Version is in the Top Right of the Screen

If the Numbers are Followed by the letter E ( as in the examples above ) it means that the Wii Was updated with an Australian Wii Firmware Update.

If the Numbers are Followed by the letter J ( EG. 3.3J 3.4J 4.0J 4.1J 4.2J ) it means that the Wii Was updated with a Japanese Wii Firmware Update.

If the Numbers are Followed by the letter U ( EG. 3.3U 3.4U 4.0U 4.1U 4.2U ) it means that the Wii Was updated with an USA Wii Firmware Update.

How To Check The Nintendo Wii Hardware Version

Nintendo Wii Hardware Comes in Different Versions. The Nintendo Wii Serial Number gives only an idea of the Wii Hardware Version

By Opening the Nintendo Wii The Hardware Version can be checked also.

How to Check the Nintendo Wii System Versions:

1. Carefully Open the Nintendo Wii Cosnsole.

2. Gently Remove the Nintendo Wii Laser and Turn it upside Down . On the Underside of the Wii Laser assembly there is a small circuit Board.

3. On this Circuit Board there is a Wii Drive Chip that has the Nintendo Wii DVD Drive Hardware Version Number. ( See Pictures )

The Wii console's Data Management menu has been enhanced to make it easier to copy and move stored items on an SD Card or the Wii console's system memory.
The Wii User Agreement, which includes the Wii Privacy Policy, has been updated. Because the updated agreement applies to you and your use of the Wii Network Service, you should view the updated version by clicking on the Wii icon located on the lower-left portion of the Wii Channel menu, selecting Wii Settings, accessing the Internet setting, and selecting User Agreements.

A Keyboard inserted into a USB port on the console can be used for text input and specific button controls for certain features and channels.

Enhancements to the Internet Channel

A Keyboard inserted into a USB port on the console can be used for text input (such as typing a URL or writing an email).
During text input using the Wii Remote, the B Button can be pressed to activate the "Shift" function of the onscreen keyboard.
Specific text on the page can now be highlighted with the Wii Remote. Once highlighted, click the "Search" to populate the search field with that text.
It is now possible to edit the web address (URL) of the page currently being viewed on the Internet Channel.
The "Page Information" icon will be visible on all pages while browsing, even if the tool bar is hidden. In addition, "Page Information" has been enhanced to provide you a description of the page's security level; a "Send" button is available to send the page to a friend; a "www" button is provided to edit the current URL and browse to a new page.
The way the Internet Channel can display a page has been enhanced. You now have the ability to make the browser ignore white space from the top and bottom of the screen, and the "Zoom" feature will alert you when an image is at its native size.
The maximum number of Favorites you can save has been increased from 48 to 56.
You can expect a faster, more stable and secure connection with the updated Internet Channel.

Enhancements to the Everybody Votes Channel

The updated version of the Everybody Votes Channel provides an improved display for the National Results by Region.

Nintendo has updated the Check Mii Out Channel with a variety of new functions designed to enhance your experience. These include:
- The ability to view up to 500 Miis after clicking "Popular" in the Posting Plaza.
- A new button on the Posting Plaza that allows you to view Miis that you have designed and posted.
- The ability to view Miis created by a specific Mii Artisan from his or her profile screen in the Posting Plaza.
- The addition of Parental Controls. As with all other parental controls on Wii, if activated, a PIN code will be required to use the channel.

Enhancement to the Mii Channel
With this update, you can now move a Mii from the Mii Plaza to the Mii Parade in the Mii Channel. To do this, simply pick up a Mii using the A and B Buttons and then release it over the Mii Parade icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.

With this one small controller, Wii makes games both easier and more intense than anything previously experienced. For example, in the Wii Sports tennis game, players swing the Wii Remote like a racquet to hit the ball, as in real life. They can add topspin or slice the ball just by angling their hands and wrist like they would in a real match.

Wii Remote:

To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo wanted to create a controller that was as inviting as it was sophisticated. The outcome is the Wii Remote controller. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device for the ages!

Sporting the size of a traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote controller is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on.

Using Bluetooth technology, the wireless Wii Remote controller sends your actions to the Wii console from as far as 30 feet away. As a pointing device, the controller can send a signal from as far as 15 feet away. Up to four Wii Remote Controllers can be connected at once, making for some great multiplayer fun!

In addition to its pointing and motion-sensing abilities, the Wii Remote controller also includes a speaker, rumble feature and expansion port for additional input devices, such as the Nunchuk controller.

This is what video games should be: fun for everyone. Wii Sports offers five distinct sports experiences, each using the Wii Remote controller to provide a natural, intuitive and realistic feel. Wii Console Features:

Featuring a compact design that makes it a natural addition to any television setup, the Wii console is white in color and can be displayed either vertically or horizontally.
The Wii is only about 8.5 inches long, 6 inches wide and less than 2 inches thick (roughly the size of 3 DVD cases stacked on top of each other).

A single self-loading media bay plays single- or double-layered 12-cm optical discs for the Wii console, as well as 8-cm Nintendo GameCube discs.
Four Wii Remote controllers can communicate with Wii, which features a bay for an SD memory card.
Wii includes an AV Multi-output port for component, composite or S-video.
The Wii console can communicate with the Internet even when the power is turned off. The WiiConnect24 service delivers a new surprise or game update, even if the system is idle. Users can connect wirelessly using IEEE 802.11 or a USB 2.0 LAN adaptor.

Wii Sports Features:

Play Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling and Boxing in the comfort of one's living room. No ball boys scurrying about, no oil from the alleys to get players dirty and no rain to keep anyone from a day at the court, park or course. Use the Wii Remote controller to mimic the actions of swinging a racket, bat or club, roll a ball down an alley or bring the left jab.
Players can use their own Mii caricatures in the game and play them against their friends' Miis for a more personalized experience. As players improve, their Miis' skill levels will increase, so that they can see exactly how much better they've become.
People of all skill levels can pick up and play any of the games in the unprecedented Wii Sports package, making this truly a title for everyone!
