1.) PS3 MODCHIP for playing different region PS2 Games & entire PS3 backup games not available yet 
2.) You will need to open the Playstation 3 to install the Infectus2 PS3 Development Chip 
3.) Segments of certain Games on Copied DVD Media can be played on PS3 but not entire games yet.  
4.) PS3 Mod chips soon to be released will work on most model PS3 consoles
5.) PS3 modchips will be made available to suit different model Playstation 3 consoles

I need to confirm a few things from you people.

We are from South Africa and import various products. Recent we import Playstation 3 80GB, Wii and X box.

The problem is that we fall under PAL frequency and all this consoles are NTSC. Can this be changed and if so how?

Then another thing…we notice you also do the chip. Do we need to remove and reinstall a new one or must the hole console be changed?

2 Factors Governing NTSC and PAL Formats



1. The NTSC Consoles Output NTSC Signal / PAL Consoles Output PAL Signal



2. NTSC USA / NTSC JAPAN / PAL EUROPE is each a Different Region Game Lockout. ( All Consoles except PS3 -which is designed Game Region Free )

eg. Must Play PAL Game on PAL Console- Must Play JAPAN NTSC on JAPAN Console. Must Play USA NTSC Game on USA NTSC Console.









Solutions:



1. Most TV Sets have Multi System Signal Outputs- Means they can Play both PAL and NTSC  Signal in Proper Color Output - This is not a Problem.

If needed to Play NTSC Console on PAL Only TV you just need simple NTSC to PAL Converter ( Its Cheap )



2. To Play a Different Region Game on a Console from another Region - Example - Play a USA Version of Wii SPORTS on PAL Wii Console

you will need "Modchip"

 

 

Modchips - There is Currently many good modchips for PS2 / Wii / for All Region Original Games and Copy Games
For Xbox 360 There is Good Modchip for most Models to Play Copy Games.
There is no PS3 Modchip Yet.



The modchip is Fine solder onto the Laser drive board or Main Board of the console - it is delicate work which needs care to install. But with Great Practice the modchips are installed with NO problems to the console function.


You do not replace any part - You do not remove any part of original Console - Just wire in Fine soldering the modchip to the main board-
